Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

What is ADHD?

ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,  is a condition caused by lack of activity in the prefrontal cortex and is characterized by lack of attention, forgetfulness, and hyperactivity. Parents of children with ADHD know how difficult school can be for their kids, and the effect that can have on their self-esteem.

How Do We Treat It?

The most common medications prescribed for ADHD are stimulants, such as Ritalin, Adderall, or D-Amphetamine. Many parents find themselves looking for an alternative to stimulant medications for their children and have turned to functional neurology for a solution.

At Gates Way to Health, we approach ADHD with a non-medication treatment plan. Our focus is on finding the root cause behind the condition and treating the brain in tandem with the rest of the body. Be it an infection, thyroid issue, or genetic factor, Dr. Randall Gates, D.C. Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist, is dedicated to treating ADHD from its roots.

What Makes Us Different?

New and exciting scientific evidence is demonstrating ADHD to be associated with autoimmunity to the cerebellum (wherein the immune system attacks the cerebellum).
